".......Geneal Douglas MacArthur....A segment of his speech about the Korean War dead......"I do not know the dignity of their birth,..... but I do know the glory of their death..... Always for them: DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY.".. .........

THIS PAGE AND THE FOLLOWING PAGES WILL BE A PICTORIAL DOCUMENTARY SITE. IN NO WAY WILL IT BE A MIRROR SITE OF THE WELL KNOWN "CHOSIN FEW" WEB SITE. THAT IS WHY I CALL IT JUST "CHOSIN". MY MAIN GOAL IS TO FOCUS ON THE MAJOR PARTICIPANTS OF THE CHOSIN RESERVIOR CAMPAIGN AND AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE PUT IT IN A PHOTO FORMAT. I HAVE NO INTENTION OF SLIGHTING ANY OUTFIT. IF I DO LEAVE A UNIT OUT PLEASE LET ME KNOW. IF YOU HAVE SOME PHOTOS AND OR INFORMATION THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE ON THIS SITE PLEASE image AND I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO PUT IT ON THE SITE.

imageimageA lot of the photos and poems that you will see on this site were furnished by Cpt.Arthur W.Wilson. Cpt. Wilson is the editor/author of the book,"Korean Vignettes, Faces Of War". A lot of photos that are on this site came from this book. The photographer for the book is Norman L Strickbine who was in the 13th Engineers, 7th Inf Div.The cover of the book came from a painting by Norma Strickbine. All photos and poems used on the site will be properly credited.

Cpt. Wilson served with the "Heavy Mortar" Company, 31st Inf Regt, 7th Inf Div. He was with the 7th Inf Div at the Chosin Reservoir battle.

After having a discussion with Cpt. Wilson I decided to build a page on this web site about the 17 days of battle at the Chosin Reservoir. It will be mostly a photo site.
Cpt. Wilson's web site can be accessed
